Pen Tanzania is an acronym of “Priority for Entrepreneurship & Development Network”. PEN is a Non-Governmental Organization with its headquarters in Dar es Salaam and a branch in Zanzibar Island. PEN Tanzania is a social entrepreneurship organization registered in 2009, with the registration number S.A 16563 under the society act, CAP.337 (R.E.2002).

The main focus of Pen Tanzania is to empower children, youths and women through building their capacities in fighting illiteracy and abject poverty in their communities, along with initiating different programs in the areas of ICT, health and economic empowerment.

A well-educated and a learning society determined to improves the spheres of life.

Integrate entrepreneurship to enhance access, equity, quality and relevance of basic education, business knowledge while stimulating and improving teaching and lifelong learning to individual and community.

The community members particularly women, children and young adults living in marginalized communities with little access to social Entrepreneurship and innovative ideas in rural areas located in Tanzania.

PEN is intended to:-
  1. Foster community led initiatives
  2. Provide access to quality education and opportunities
  3. Support families and young people to economic independence
  4. To collaborate with the Government, public and private institution in matters of community concern and interest.
  5. To provide entrepreneurship knowledge to youth, women and organized groups in the community.
  6. Integrate the use of ICT to achieve educational policy objectives.
